History of the Program

Our healthy version of "The Biggest Loser," the original Lose2Win was founded by PFT Jo Carmichael at Trilogy at Rio Vista. With Jo's permission, Joyce used the program at Trilogy at Brentwood and has expanded it to its current "Coach Approach©" format for use in other fitness clubs in the East Bay. Joyce is now bringing the new version of Lose2Win back to Trilogy at Rio Vista for their 2011 program.

What is NutriSum™?

NutriSum™ is a simple yet effective program to lose fat while focusing on thes healthy behaviors daily:

  • Eating Fruits/Veggies
  • Drinking enough Water
  • Eating Breakfast
  • Managing Meals/Snacks
  • Increasing Exercise

What is "The Coach Approach©"?

You can have all the best intentions, and know what you should be eating or doing, but applying this knowledge consistently and getting results can often be elusive and lead to frustration and lack of confidence in your abilities. Using a Life Coach helps you take time out for balance - so that you begin to make yourself a priority. Time for healthy eating, adequate rest and play, exercise and balanced goals - as Life Coaches we use compassionate accountability to help you find the time to focus on your results and rewards. As you become informed and more capable week to week, you get results, and a life-long habit of healthy food and exercising grows.

How Does It Work?

L2W gives you 13 weeks of motivational emails, meetings, workouts and interaction with your coach to reinforce SUSTAINED behavior, whereas a diet or cleanse is a jumpstart to changing behavior. Both are valid approaches, and very compatible.

Self-paced:
2 group weigh-ins, booklet, Nutrition Seminar with Joyce Bueker and discounts on Joyce's additional workshops such as Gluten-Free Cooking Class and Deep Relaxation.

Group Meeting w/Training:
all of the above plus 12 weekly group meetings with Joyce or Leah, weekly phone check-in, motivational emails, (12) 30-minute group exercise sessions. Weekly meeting/workout times will vary depending on group.

Lose2Win Personal Training Special:
additional training or coaching session are available for discounted rate during the program.

The Coaches

Joyce Bueker has a Master's Degree in Modern Social History from Lancaster, England and is the published author of several wellness books. She is a certified Communications and Life Coach and has been a part of the Fitness Industry for over 25 years as an athletic club general manager, coach & instructor, and program director. Joyce studied a two-year curriculum at California College of Ayurveda and has been teaching and practicing Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation, Reiki and East-West 6-Taste Cooking for over 15 years. She currently teaches and coaches in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Leah Hill is a Certified Empowerment Coach, an Accredited Energy Leadership Coach, and a certified Group Fitness instructor. With a background in competitive sports, she has spent many years coaching and guiding within her varied careers: Fitness Director and Instructor for a Women's fitness center, and guiding/leading active travel vacations in the Canadian Rockies, New Zealand, France, United States and Italy. Leah lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and shines in her ability to listen well, respond effectively & understand compassionately.
